Accutron x La Palina | Considerate Agency Case Study

Time Well Spent Is Never Lost

At a time when much of the cigar industry speaks primarily to itself, we set out to do something different. Working alongside La Palina and Accutron, our goal was not simply to promote a product, but to elevate the conversation entirely. Time Well Spent was created to live above category, to gain the attention of industries beyond cigars, and to remind audiences that craft, patience, and intention still matter.

This project was built deliberately outside the traditional production language of the cigar world. Instead of leaning on familiar visual cues, we approached the campaign as a cultural artifact. Something that could stand alongside luxury fashion films, heritage watch storytelling, and high-end editorial work. By bringing La Palina and Accutron together, we created a bridge that welcomed new audiences without compromising either brand’s identity.

La Palina made this possible because it has lived through the ages. From its earliest days, the brand stood for the idea that great cigars should be within reach, not reserved for a single class or moment. It built its name by putting quality cigars into the hands of everyday people while keeping quality and price consistent.

As the brand grew and moved into the early 2000s, its approach evolved. Without losing its roots, La Palina leaned into higher end blends, more refined experiences, and a deeper focus on craftsmanship and presentation. That balance of accessibility and elevation allowed this campaign to feel authentic, timeless, and earned.

Accutron’s story runs parallel in spirit. Emerging in the early 1960s, the brand changed watchmaking forever through innovation, precision, and confidence in progress. Accutron represented a future built carefully, not recklessly. It became synonymous with accuracy, style, and the belief that technology and elegance could coexist without compromise.

Time Well Spent lives in the overlap between those two legacies. Cigars and watches share a quiet philosophy. Both require patience, attention, and time.

In this campaign, watches were paired with specific cigar blends not as product placement, but as character statements. Each pairing reflected a mood, an era, and a way of moving through the world.

The visual language of the project was shaped by Accutron’s 1960s energy and the era that surrounded it. Frank Sinatra. James Bond. A time when style was confident, intentional, and effortlessly cool. We were not interested in selling just a cigar or a watch. We wanted to create an experience. A feeling built from atmosphere, pacing, music, posture, and light. The promo was designed to feel like stepping into a world, not watching an advertisement.

The tagline Time Well Spent Is Never Lost sits at the center of the work. It speaks to moments chosen deliberately. Time spent in conversation, reflection, craftsmanship, and care will always return value. These are the moments that shape who we are and how we remember our lives.

In contrast, time lost to endless scrolling, constant worry, or convenience without thought leaves little behind. The campaign does not lecture or shame. It simply asks a question. What if we treated our time the same way we treat our finest possessions. With respect. With intention. With care.

From a creative standpoint, this project reflects how we work at our core. We worked with twelve actors to build individual stories, each one fully staged and emotionally grounded. Scenes unfolded across imagined worlds. Old New York streets. Haunted Nicaraguan barns. Epic Russian prison love stories. Each narrative was treated as its own short film. The studio was transformed into three distinct stages, allowing us to move quickly while maintaining control over light, texture, and performance. Physical sets were combined with AI generated backdrops, carefully composited until every environment felt real. The result was not only a three minute hero film, but a series of one minute vignettes, each telling a complete story within the larger world we created.

In the end, Time Well Spent was never just about cigars or watches. It was about the time we spend, and how we should spend it wisely. We hope you enjoy what we put together, and give us a shout when it comes to creating something incredible when it comes to your brand.
